About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Critical Power at ABB is responsible for directing and managing multiple sales channels to achieve growth targets for Power Switching products, services, and solutions in the southeastern region. This remote position requires the development of strategic relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring compliance with ABB's processes, and collaborating with various sales teams to drive sales effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage multiple sales channels to ensure growth targets are met for Power Switching products.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategies to close profitable orders for Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and Paralleling Switchgears (PSG).
  • Execute annual account strategies with OEM customers, independent representatives, and channel partners to drive top-line growth.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers and support complex contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with ABB's Risk Review Process for all orders.
  • Communicate ABB's objectives and product development roadmaps to independent representatives and channel partners.
  • Collaborate with Product Leaders and Customer Support to align processes with customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or advanced business degree, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience with a successful track record in the electrical power industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the electrical power industry and customer base in the assigned region.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to travel regularly and possess work authorization for ABB in the US.

  • Experience working with third-party channel partners, consultants, and contractors in the data center or critical power industries.
