About the position

The Regional Account Manager/Customer Team Leader at Welch's is responsible for driving profitable and sustainable volume growth with key grocery accounts in the Midwest. This role involves developing and executing business plans, managing relationships with customers and brokers, and ensuring effective sales strategies are implemented. The position is remote-based, ideally located in the greater Chicago area, and requires collaboration with internal teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and execution of the platform & customer specific business plan.
  • Identify business opportunities, set and communicate priorities, and coordinate with Welch's internal team and other necessary resources to achieve desired results.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor Joint Business Goals with key customers.
  • Influence and develop relationships with customers to ensure access to key decision makers.
  • Establish local market priorities, goals, and strategies to guide broker development that deliver Welch's business priorities.
  • Manage trade budget and establish post-promotional processes to maximize ROI.
  • Execute everyday business in partnership with key accounts, including new item setup, inventory management, and supply chain solutions.
  • Forecast monthly sales to align with demand, financial, and sales planning teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role focused on the food/beverage industry.
  • Experience calling on customers in the CPG industry.
  • Experience managing broker relationships and/or direct people management.
  • Strong sales skills including negotiation, account management, and strategic selling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Technical proficiency in a variety of PC-based applications and hardware.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills.
