About the position

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) for IG Care Specialist at Optum is a critical sales role focused on generating new referrals from IG specialists in Neurology and Immunology. This position is essential for achieving sales goals through effective business planning and collaboration with internal teams to ensure positive patient outcomes. The RAM will work remotely while covering the territories of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, and will be responsible for building relationships with key customers and promoting a patient-centered culture.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the territory sales goals through effective business planning and sales execution.
  • Promote a patient-centered culture that strives to exceed needs and expectations by educating and developing rapport with external customers.
  • Utilize available sales and market data to identify key customers.
  • Identify and build relationships with key customers in target accounts.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of disease state and treatment options and their impact on patients and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (Intake, Operations, Nursing) to execute on key selling strategies.
  • Be a problem solver with a willingness to think creatively to achieve solutions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of business to business selling experience.
  • Proven ability to drive results in a challenging market by building a book of business from scratch.
  • Proven consistent track record of top sales performance (top 30%).
  • Proven recognition for overachievement of sales goals (e.g., President's Club).
  • Primary residence must be within a commutable distance to Denver, CO.
  • Willing or ability to travel to Wyoming and Utah up to 20%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Medical selling experience (e.g., medical device, lab sales).
  • Experience selling infusion products as a manufacturer and/or infusion pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated experience working individually and as a team to achieve results.
  • Proven solid team player with a customer service approach and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven tenacious and motivated outside-the-box thinker who excels in a collaborative team setting.
