About the position

The Regional Account Manager (RAM) for IVIG at Optum is a critical sales role focused on generating new referrals from IG specialists in Neurology and Immunology. This position involves developing and executing a territory business plan, maintaining referral sources, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure positive patient outcomes. The RAM will work primarily in Los Angeles County, CA, and will have the flexibility to work remotely while also attending events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the territory sales goals through effective business planning and sales execution.
  • Promote a patient-centered culture by educating and developing rapport with external customers.
  • Utilize sales and market data to identify key customers.
  • Identify and build relationships with key customers in target accounts.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of disease states and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute key selling strategies.
  • Solve problems creatively to achieve solutions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of business to business selling experience or relevant IVIg Infusion experience.
  • Proven ability to drive results in a challenging market by building a book of business from scratch.
  • Consistent track record of top performance (top 30%).
  • Recognition for overachievement of performance goals (e.g., President's Club).
  • Primary residence must be within a commutable distance to Los Angeles County, CA.
  • Willing and able to travel within assigned territory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Medical selling experience (e.g., medical device, lab sales).
  • Experience selling infusion products as a manufacturer and/or infusion pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated experience working individually and as a team to achieve results.
  • Solid team player with a customer service approach.
  • Tenacious and motivated outside-the-box thinker.
