About the position

The Regional Account Manager - Technical Sales position is focused on driving sales and managing customer relationships within the Bay Area. The role involves leveraging technical expertise and existing relationships to promote and sell products from various manufacturers, ensuring successful design-ins and transitioning programs from prototype to production. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong network in the industry, capable of engaging with high-level decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Bay Area company Technical H/W and S/W engineers to design in sole source products from various manufacturers.
  • Work with purchasing on commodity products from specified manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with local OEM Regional Sales managers and Manufacturer's Rep companies in the Bay Area.
  • Manage programs as they transition from prototype to production.
  • Sell to a customer base that includes System Integrators and Resellers for various products.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers at the highest levels.

Requirements

  • BSEE preferred but not necessary; experience and relationships with customers are more critical.
  • OEM Sales, Manufacturer's Rep, or Distributor sales experience required.
  • Experience working for companies like TI, Intel, PMC-Sierra, Vitesse, Microsemi, Broadcom, or Marvel in an OEM sales capacity is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Existing database of contacts in the Bay Area.
  • Experience with Gigabyte Servers, Edgecore Ethernet Switches, Finisar Optics, and Micron SSDs and DIMMs.
