About the position

The Regional Account Manager at Expedient is an individual contributor role responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients while leveraging business insights and IT technical skills to align with clients' strategic initiatives. The position focuses on prospecting, forecasting opportunities, pipeline development, and closing deals to meet individual and quarterly sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging in a continual selling effort with clients to enhance the value of Expedient's services and create demand for additional revenue.
  • Retain, nurture, and grow the existing client sales pipeline, forecasting future sales and meeting or exceeding quarterly sales targets.
  • Serve as a client advocate to ensure an optimal client experience by collaborating with Operations Support, Service Delivery, and Product Development teams.
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver sales proposals and presentations while partnering with a dedicated Solutions Architect.
  • Develop account plans for major clients to assist in overall account engagement by the broader support team.
  • Establish and foster key stakeholder relationships across various functions within the client organization, including data center infrastructure, application development, finance, procurement, legal, and senior executives.
  • Responsible for the entire sales process from lead generation to deal close for existing clients.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership, Account Executives, and Client Advisors to develop strategies to target and grow Expedient's overall account base in the region.
  • Grow the sales pipeline of new business, forecasting future sales based on trends and observations, and meeting or exceeding quarterly sales quotas.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT solutions-based selling.
  • Proven track record of exceeding individual sales and retention goals through strategic management of a portfolio of existing clients.
  • Successful track record in a complex sales environment, preferably in IT or Technology.
  • Proficiency in sales funnel development, deal progression, and closing.
  • Ability to manage the full sales process from lead generation to close with accurate business forecasting.
  • Strong in-person and virtual networking skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and other sales tools (e.g., account-based marketing, prospecting).
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline is highly desired.
