About the position

The Regional Accounting Analyst at Pyrotek is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information and analyses to local, regional, and executive leadership. This role supports the implementation of best practices in accounting and reporting while ensuring compliance with policies and risk management for territories primarily in Mexico and South America. The position requires fluency in Spanish and is remote, ideally suited for candidates in the Charlotte/Salisbury/Greensboro NC area.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review financial submissions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring finalization in a timely manner.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports, including regional summaries and analyses, and lead and document financial analyses projects.
  • Perform financial functions including evaluating, auditing, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control analyses.
  • Act as a consultant within assigned territory by partnering with Operations and Finance teams for financial policies and procedures, and financial plan budgets, forecasting, and performance.
  • Continuously review local/regional operations for effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management and local/regional/Corporate Finance teams to standardize processes and implement shared best practices.
  • Partner with local/regional Finance teams to document local processes and procedures in both the resident language and English, ensuring documentation is maintained and kept current.
  • Complete ad hoc analyses as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in accounting and reporting with an emphasis on process setting and internal controls.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or a global and multi-cultural organization.
  • Experience as an internal or external auditor is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Cost Accounting and knowledge of Mexican/Brazilian accounting standards and taxation is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP BPC and Infor Visual Manufacturing is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using consolidation software, ERP systems, and business analytic tools.
