About the position

The Regional Accounting & Finance Manager will support the Dallas office of a manufacturing client by overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and providing business support for operations and field activities. This role involves coordinating the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and engaging in strategic discussions with internal partners regarding budgeting and forecasting. The position emphasizes mentorship and professional development of accounting staff while ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide management with accurate and timely financial information for decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional development and ensure high-quality work.
  • Stay current with accounting regulations, standards, and industry trends to recommend and implement best practices and process improvements.
  • Scope out KPIs and tie results into the financial reporting.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis for new projects including CapEx requests and justification.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Professional designation required (CPA or CMA).
  • 5+ years of finance/accounting experience.
  • Construction materials experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial/business analysis.
  • Must have a strategic business focus and ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
