About the position

The Regional Admissions Recruiter is responsible for recruiting prospective students from designated territories outside of Kansas, primarily focusing on the Dallas/Ft Worth area. This role involves engaging with students, parents, and school counselors to promote Wichita State University (WSU) and its offerings. The recruiter will develop and implement recruitment programs, represent the university at various events, and maintain relationships with local schools and communities. This hybrid position requires a blend of remote work and in-person attendance at recruitment events.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students outside of Kansas in designated schools and geographic regions.
• Follow up with recruits through phone, mail, and personal communications to meet recruiting goals.
• Develop and implement recruitment programming for students, parents, and counselors.
• Coordinate recruitment programs with campus departments.
• Represent the University at schools, college fairs, public presentations, and seminars.
• Contribute to overall recruitment efforts for the University.
• Facilitate office coverage and participate in on and off-campus recruitment programs.
• Market scholarships and participate in the selection process when appropriate.
• Manage budgets related to program and visit expenditures.
• Reconcile monthly statements and billings from assigned programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, business, or a related field.
• One year of experience in recruiting, admissions, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
