About the position

The Regional Business Development Manager at Superior Industrial Maintenance is responsible for driving revenue growth through direct sales efforts in the industrial maintenance sector. This role involves collaborating with a seasoned estimating and operations management team to achieve the company's revenue targets within a designated geographic region. The position offers opportunities for career advancement into Operational and Executive Leadership, making it a critical role within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth through direct sales efforts in the assigned geographic region.
  • Source and procure goods and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Improve organizational efficiency by implementing and maintaining a purchase order process.
  • Utilize Vista procurement systems to manage the procurement process efficiently and accurately.
  • Work closely with operations and finance team members to achieve cost savings and organizational goals.
  • Evaluate, select, and maintain vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and other relevant factors.
  • Monitor and manage vendor rebate programs to maximize rebate potential and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and expenditures.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and best practices in procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in procurement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in direct business development and sales within the industrial maintenance and/or construction spaces.
  • Industrial field experience from the power, chemical, petrochemical, heavy manufacturing, water/wastewater, or fuel tank management industries.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with industrial coatings and sandblasting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in scaffolding, insulation, abatement, pipefitting, or welding is a plus.
  • Experience working with an operations department and clients to manage multiple projects and field crews.
  • Proven track record of winning sales and success in pre-construction planning, budgeting, scheduling, project controls, and asset utilization.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned project management territory.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a desire to exceed client expectations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong investigative, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective decision-making skills and willingness to use available resources to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
