As a Regional Business Manager for Partner Operations, you will lead sales for Luminex Corporation's Partnership Business group in the Northeast or Boston surrounding area. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, you will have commercial sales responsibility for both direct and partner business. Your role will involve the strategic development of Luminex's existing partner relationships in Life Science Research & Diagnostics. You will be responsible for leading and executing regional strategies and tactics, collaborating with global product marketing, regional marketing, partner management, and other functional teams to exceed customer expectations and increase the adoption of Luminex products and solutions. This position requires a commitment to field travel to understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions. Key duties include executing and managing opportunities requiring the direct acquisition of products from Luminex, developing strategic plans and forecasts to ensure consistent achievement of revenue goals, and managing internal resources for tactical execution. You will conduct daily sales calls to close opportunities, generate leads, and move sales processes forward. Additionally, you will manage sales activities in Salesforce.com and act as the liaison for Luminex's existing relationships with partners to drive instrument placements and end-user kit sales. Your role will also involve negotiating agreements with partners and developing strategic revenue plans to drive commercial execution and customer satisfaction. You will own and develop strategic relationships within assigned partners and customers, coordinating internal resources to deliver on growth strategies while ensuring alignment with corporate and departmental strategic planning. Regular business and operational reviews with partners will be part of your responsibilities, along with providing management with channel performance visibility and driving internal risk mitigation. You will assess the strategic partner landscape, competitive threats, and emerging trends, maintaining a strong knowledge base of developments in the Life Science Research industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales for Luminex Corporation's Partnership Business group in the Northeast or Boston surrounding area.
  • Report to the Senior Sales Manager and manage commercial sales responsibility for direct and partner business.
  • Develop strategic plans and forecasts to ensure consistent achievement of revenue goals.
  • Conduct daily sales calls to close opportunities, generate leads, and move sales processes forward.
  • Manage sales activities in Salesforce.com and ensure tactical execution of direct purchase opportunities.
  • Act as Luminex relationship liaison and manage existing relationships with partners to drive instrument placements and end-user kit sales.
  • Engage in negotiation of agreements with assigned existing partners and determine optimal acquisition terms.
  • Develop strategic revenue plans with partners to drive commercial execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop strategic relationships within assigned partners and customers to foster long-term alliances.
  • Plan and execute regularly scheduled business and operational reviews with defined partners.
  • Assess the strategic partner landscape, competitive threats, and emerging trends in the Life Science Research industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or Business and at least three years equivalent experience, preferably in Pharma and/or Life Science Research.
  • Master's of Science Degree or MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years demonstrated management skills, including history of product launch planning and effective channel integration.
  • 3+ years exhibited strong territory management skills.
  • 3+ years excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple relationships in parallel.
  • 3+ years experience with building business plans and strategic approaches for territory management.
  • 3+ years strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to articulate issues or opportunities effectively.
  • 3+ years network of executive-level contacts within the Pharma and/or Life Science Research community preferred.
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining business/channel relationships preferred.
  • 3+ years excellent presence with customers and ability to manage and overcome objections.
