About the position

The Regional Cap Ex - Senior Specialist will manage capital expenditure (CapEx) for various categories including GES Low Segment, GWES/IFM capital spend, and direct materials capital spend across specified regions. This role serves as a liaison between local sites and the Global Cap Ex team, focusing on capital planning, engagement management, and performance improvement. The specialist will ensure financial transparency, manage supplier relationships, and drive compliance with procurement policies while aligning with sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and execute a comprehensive regional strategy aligned with global strategy.
  • Manage overall supplier management, compliance, risk management, diversity spend, and stakeholder management.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for local site procurement regarding capital spend.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to improve and govern capital spending.
  • Drive sourcing compliance and maximize supplier value.
  • Manage suppliers through the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program and monitor their performance.
  • Monitor KPIs including cost savings, cost avoidance, and diversity spend.
  • Ensure adherence to established GCP policies and procedures by all internal customers.
  • Stay updated on sustainability best practices and regulations.
  • Drive diversity spend by developing new suppliers globally.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability concepts, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise with fast-paced projects across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience executing sustainability initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
  • Experience with procurement, supply chain, and project management.
