About the position

The Regional Construction Manager at Ameresco, Inc. will lead federal construction project teams in Hawaii, focusing on the implementation of renewable energy projects. This role involves managing the daily administrative and technical aspects of construction projects aimed at delivering energy savings to various customers, including public, institutional, industrial, government, and commercial sectors. The position requires collaboration with engineering and construction teams, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while fostering positive customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative and technical management of construction projects delivering energy savings.
  • Partner with Engineering and Construction Team in project design and development.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to assure competitive cost and best schedule.
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality control and project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Provide ongoing project status updates with all parties throughout design and construction.
  • Evaluate technologies and equipment; recommend most suitable for each application.
  • Lead project implementation of site safety and health plans, operations and maintenance manuals, and training activities.
  • Provide project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration.
  • Manage project teams and resources, including expenditures and job cost accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards.
  • Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels and project phases.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years industrial power, electrical/solar, mechanical, or engineering construction project management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with energy efficiency disciplines such as direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high efficiency motors, and renewable energy technology.
  • Proven experience with OSHA safety standards and mechanical and electrical systems development.
  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Scheduling experience using Primavera P-6 preferred.
