About the position

The Regional Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for facilitating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. This role focuses on standardizing business processes, identifying best practices, and establishing metrics to enhance operational efficiency on the shop floor. The manager will work closely with both shop floor and administrative employees to apply Lean Manufacturing principles, improve product quality, and enhance employee knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Champion, mentor, and facilitate standardization processes.
  • Communicate and support the strategic vision, principles, and annual objectives across the organization.
  • Integrate leadership skills with Lean Manufacturing principles to guide and train employees at all levels.
  • Develop standards for all aspects of operations including operator training and product quality.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing best practices for operations or processes.
  • Ensure appropriate training of personnel is conducted and maintained.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in processes and practices.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and train employees on standardized approaches.
  • Audit operations for adherence to standard practices.
  • Assist in resolving production, equipment, and system problems through root cause analysis.
  • Assist in the revision and development of standard work.
  • Benchmark against internal and external companies.
  • Promote the value of continuous improvement to assigned plants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Continuous Improvement/Process Improvement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and coach others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Internet applications.
