About the position

The Regional Controller at HeartLand, LLC is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all accounting functions within the Southwest Region. This position ensures financial compliance with corporate policies and GAAP, manages financial reporting, cash management, tax compliance, and audit support, while also focusing on the integration of new regional companies into the organization's systems. The role emphasizes exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and collaboration between finance and operations to support the company's growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting responsibilities including control compliance, financial reporting, cash management oversight, tax compliance, audit support, and business reporting.
• Ensure regional financial statements are accurate, complete, and in accordance with corporate policies and GAAP.
• Review financial results and discuss changes to address needs and trends.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure sufficient cash flow and reduced operating costs.
• Establish and reinforce a system of effective accounting and operational controls.
• Collaborate with senior leadership in the growth of the company and integration of new regional companies into Heartland's systems.
• Coordinate hiring and training of new finance staff in the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 7 years of accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Aspire and Acumatica or similar industry software is preferred.
• Ability to work with a diverse team and focus on mentorship and professional development.
