About the position

The Regional Controller will oversee the financial operations for a company in the construction industry, focusing on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with industry regulations. This role is crucial for managing financial operations across regional construction projects and ensuring accurate revenue recognition through percentage of completion accounting. The position is hybrid, allowing for a mix of remote and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations for regional construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Manage and implement percentage of completion accounting for revenue recognition.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including job cost analysis and project profitability.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction industry standards.
• Lead and develop a regional finance team, ensuring best practices in accounting and financial management.
• Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on construction or project-based industries.
• Strong knowledge of percentage of completion accounting and construction accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
