About the position

The Regional Customer Technical Services Manager for the Southwest U.S. at Sun Chemical Corporation is responsible for overseeing the Customer Technical Services (CTS) Representatives in the region. This role focuses on ensuring optimal customer service, managing a significant budget, and leading a team to meet financial and operational goals. The manager will also engage in customer value-add activities, financial management, and employee development to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Customer Technical Services Representatives in the Southwest region.
• Ensure optimal customer satisfaction and retention through effective service delivery.
• Direct and oversee customer value-add activities related to new business opportunities and customer maintenance needs.
• Collect and analyze data on key metrics for organization-wide reporting on customer satisfaction and quality assurance.
• Monitor costs to serve and analyze staffing needs to optimize regional service capacities.
• Promote positive employee relations and maintain an open work environment for assigned employees.
• Coach and develop CTS Representatives, ensuring alignment with overall CTS strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in customer-facing technical/operational roles with project execution experience.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with ink application technology and chemistry or related technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Minitab.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Six Sigma, LEAN, Kepner-Tregoe, 5-Why, DFMEA, DOE methodologies.
• Excellent presentation skills and comfort speaking in front of large audiences.
