About the position

The Regional Digital Content Creator will be responsible for creating and optimizing digital content for three FOX owned-and-operated stations in Texas. This role focuses on quickly writing, producing, and sharing compelling stories and information with digital and social users, ensuring high-quality content delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Write and produce compelling, consumer-focused content related to news, events, and topics relevant to users across Texas.
• Work closely with local digital teams in Dallas, Houston, and Austin to engage their communities and build brand loyalty.
• Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) while prioritizing the consumer experience.
• Engage with stations' social users on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Serve as an additional digital resource for local Texas digital teams, filling gaps in coverage during major local events.
• Collaborate with local newsroom teams to ensure speed and accuracy of content.
• Participate in local editorial meetings as required.
• Collaborate with Group Content Team and other FTS markets to distribute high-interest stories at scale.
• Monitor real-time analytics and follow group standards.

Requirements

• Experience developing, optimizing, and publishing content on digital and social platforms.
• BA/BS degree in journalism, communications, or related field with emphasis on digital publishing is a plus.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills with superior news judgment.
• Impeccable writing and copy-editing skills with overwhelming attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive under deadline pressure with stellar communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Expertise in social media and proficiency in content management systems, SEO, video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytics tools.
• Experience in video and photo editing, preferably with Adobe products.
