About the position

The Regional Director, Base Operations at Endeavor Air is responsible for overseeing the operations of assigned maintenance base locations. This leadership role involves managing a team of Base Managers and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards. The position requires strong leadership skills to foster a safe and efficient work environment while maintaining high performance and operational excellence across the bases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct activities to achieve Flight Plan Goals.
  • Build positive relationships within the department and across the organization.
  • Ensure safety and operations standards are met by managing a team of base managers.
  • Collaborate with peer Directors to ensure consistency of practices and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee maintenance and preventive maintenance of all locations, aircraft, components, and equipment.
  • Determine airworthiness of aircraft and components according to established procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within the maintenance department.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly operation that meets OSHA standards.
  • Guide base managers in employee performance development and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure bases are appropriately staffed and trained according to FAA requirements.
  • Implement new policies and maintenance programs effectively across the bases.
  • Maintain professional relationships with the FAA and assist in information gathering as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related work experience.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant mechanics license (highly preferred).
  • 5 years of front-line supervisory experience.
  • 5-10 years of organizational leadership experience.
  • Experience in managing a diverse and inclusive workgroup.
  • Strong leadership and direction skills to accomplish set goals.
  • Effective communication skills with all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (LEAN).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license for company vehicle use.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and aviation safety standards.
