About the position

The Regional Director of Finance & Business Support (RDOF) at Fairmont Kea Lani is a pivotal role that provides strategic leadership and functional guidance to Operations Leaders, Partners, Executive Committees, and Department Heads across multiple hotels within the region. This position is integral to ensuring optimal business decisions are made, and it involves interaction with various stakeholders including ownership groups, asset managers, hotel legal counsel, insurance companies, tax consultants, auditors, and commercial banks. The RDOF is expected to be a highly motivated team player with strong accounting, communication, business presentation, and analytical skills, as well as a proven track record in multi-unit business and finance leadership. The role also involves oversight of the Hotel Directors of Finance and Business Support in developing and implementing corrective action plans based on audit and operational reports. In addition to business partnering, the RDOF will lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis efforts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to regional management and the corporate office. This includes the development and implementation of benchmarking techniques to enhance revenues and improve productivity across the hotels in the region. Compliance and risk management are also critical components of this role, as the RDOF will ensure that all properties adhere to accounting policies and procedures, and will conduct regular operations risk assessments. People and talent management is another key responsibility, where the RDOF will work within the Talent Management System to optimize staffing levels, plan for future staffing needs, and ensure departmental performance is productive.
