About the position

The Regional Director of Operations for the Chicago Metro Area will independently oversee and manage all operational aspects of one of the franchisee regions in the U.S., which includes 7-8 districts and approximately 40 restaurants per district. This role requires strategic oversight to ensure compliance with company policies and standards, while also developing staff and maintaining strong relationships with franchisee leadership to achieve operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight and manage all operational aspects of the franchisee region.
  • Participate in the development of IDQ's Operations' business plan during strategic planning meetings.
  • Assist in creating annual performance goals for U.S. Operations field teams based on the business plan.
  • Guide the Operations team in developing and implementing integrated business plans within select markets.
  • Provide leadership in managing marketing performance through partnerships with departments, vendors, and franchisees.
  • Oversee execution of company strategies to ensure compliance with food safety, product procedures, and consumer satisfaction.
  • Travel to districts to validate progress against goals with franchisee stores.
  • Prepare and present at annual franchisee Leadership Meetings and Fall Business Conferences.
  • Continuously coach and support business consultants in executing staff training and professional development strategies.
  • Develop an operating budget/profit plan for the region.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business, Restaurant Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible related experience, with at least 5 years in corporate franchise management operations.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years managing employees required.
  • In-depth knowledge of the restaurant industry, preferably QSR, and restaurant operations.
  • Experience in creating and managing an operating budget.
  • Strong communication skills and public speaking abilities.
