About the position

The Regional Director of Operations for Morrison Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the overall operation, growth, and profitability of food service operations within an acute care setting across a designated region in Florida. This role involves planning regional objectives, ensuring compliance with corporate and financial goals, and maintaining high levels of client and patient satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of unit directors and to implement effective policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct the operation of assigned accounts in support of Key Performance Indicators.
  • Develop common direction for the team, setting priorities and making strategies clear to all members.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maximize income from existing accounts.
  • Support the development of clinical and patient service programs that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the sales process for acquiring new business.
  • Monitor financial reports to ensure budgetary compliance with Regional and Corporate goals.
  • Develop and motivate management and clinical staff to achieve goals and efficiently use human resources.
  • Interface with clients to maintain satisfaction and account retention.
  • Resolve elevated client, patient, and employee-related complaints.
  • Conduct annual and semi-annual performance evaluations.
  • Complete all required reports in a timely manner.
  • Project ownership attributes to provide high customer service at all contact points.
  • Participate in Patient Visitation rounds and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Train and develop management personnel to achieve high morale and efficient use of human resources.

Requirements

  • Healthcare food service experience is required.
  • Must be a Certified Executive Chef (CEC), Registered Dietitian, or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Care related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to manage a team of six or more manager-level team members.
  • Minimum of two years experience in multi-unit foodservice management.
  • Experience managing foodservice with a combined volume of $3 million or greater.
  • Strong track record of driving customer satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an unstructured, fast-paced, P&L driven environment.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
