About the position

The Regional Director of Operations for BayMark Health Services is responsible for overseeing the Opiate Treatment Program across multiple states, including New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and ensuring the delivery of quality patient care while achieving profitable growth. The director will lead Treatment Center Directors and their teams, focusing on operational performance, compliance with regulations, and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to Treatment Center Directors and staff.
  • Lead change by communicating vision and gaining commitment from staff.
  • Align business objectives with BayMark's strategic goals.
  • Establish yearly goals and assist departmental managers in setting annual goals, reviewing progress quarterly.
  • Track progress on established success metrics.
  • Oversee the business within the region and identify market opportunities.
  • Assume fiscal responsibility through budgetary planning and implementation.
  • Partner with National Support staff to drive profitable growth and deliver quality patient care.
  • Attract, coach, and develop talent to ensure a capable staff.
  • Support a strong performance management culture by mentoring staff and providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to BayMark's success by developing departmental and individual staff goals, measuring results, and rewarding achievement or taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Participate in the company's annual operating and long-term strategic planning process.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to evaluate results and develop strategic plans and success metrics.
  • Familiarize with OTP federal & state laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Adhere to BayMark's Standards of Ethical Conduct and display ethical behavior in business practices.
  • Incorporate Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles into daily activities focusing on process improvements and patient satisfaction.
  • Facilitate an environment that promotes team building and collaboration.
  • Motivate and empower staff to achieve personal and organizational goals.
  • Recognize individual and team accomplishments and mentor leaders in career growth.
  • Maintain knowledge of and achieve compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Participate in developing regional policies and procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant management experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial data.
  • Prior experience in an outpatient setting with multi-site responsibility and Medical Assisted Treatment settings required.
  • Strong knowledge of current drug abuse and treatment information, specifically trends in Opioid Maintenance Treatment.
  • Demonstrated success in building high-performing operating teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to identify and develop long-term solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and manage Treatment Center Directors and Clinical Supervisors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in substance abuse treatment organizations.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
