About the position

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of Skilled Nursing Facilities across Washington State. This role involves strategic planning, financial oversight, and ensuring high-quality service delivery within the post-acute care continuum. The director will lead a team, manage business development, and enhance operational efficiency while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate operations of Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and manage budgets and strategic plans.
  • Analyze issues and formulate solutions based on relevant facts.
  • Write reports, memos, and conduct presentations effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within the Avamere Family of Companies.
  • Optimize Medicare/Medicaid/HMO fees and increase income and profit.
  • Participate in networking events and industry associations.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and expansion.
  • Demonstrate leadership and mentor staff effectively.
  • Supervise Administrators and provide timely feedback.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention of leadership positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in an executive leadership role in post-acute rehab or long-term clinical settings.
  • At least 5 years in a multi-site and multi-state management position.
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more per year.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with excellent Excel skills.
  • Experience in negotiations and contract management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.
