About the position

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the development, management, and administration of Skilled Nursing Facilities across Washington State. This role involves strategic planning, financial oversight, and ensuring operational efficiency within the post-acute care continuum. The director will lead a team, collaborate with various stakeholders, and drive business growth while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate operations of Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Provide budgeting, strategic planning, and operational efficiency services.
  • Identify issues and develop solutions based on analysis.
  • Understand the relationship between clinical and financial operations.
  • Write reports, memos, and conduct presentations effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within the Avamere Family of Companies.
  • Optimize Medicare/Medicaid/HMO fees and work to increase income and profit.
  • Participate in networking events and industry associations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand business relationships.
  • Contribute ideas to improve operations across the Avamere Family of Companies.
  • Demonstrate leadership and mentor staff effectively.
  • Supervise Administrators and provide timely feedback.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention of leadership positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in an executive leadership role in post-acute rehab long-term clinical settings.
  • At least 5 years in a multi-site and multi-state management position.
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more per year.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with excellent Excel skills.
  • Experience in negotiations and contract management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and multi-million dollar budgets in a multi-state region.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills, attention to detail, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize resources to meet deadlines.
