The Regional Director of Operations position at Teijin Automotive Technologies is a pivotal role that oversees the management of specific regions of manufacturing plants. This role acts as a liaison between department management and executive levels, facilitating communication regarding decisions, policies, and matters affecting performance and results. Additionally, the Regional Director will be responsible for hiring, training, developing, and evaluating staff, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and consulting with the Human Resources Department as necessary. The position also involves identifying, recommending, and implementing changes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and monitor scrap and rework data. The Regional Director will direct the establishment and maintenance of production standards and coordinate various essential programs related to manufacturing procedures, such as training, safety, and cost reduction initiatives. Major projects, including plant layout changes and capital equipment installations, will also fall under the purview of this role. Ultimately, the Regional Director is responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are met and that the organization continues to innovate and grow.
