About the position

Cedarhurst Senior Living, a regional healthcare provider dedicated to serving older adults, is seeking a full-time Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to connect with and positively impact the lives of our residents on a daily basis. As the RDO, you will work closely with the Operations division to provide support and supervision for the ongoing operations of Cedarhurst's senior living communities. Your responsibilities will include monitoring revenue, community census, and staff efficiency, as well as implementing and overseeing new directives for growth in your assigned territory. In your role as RDO, you will assist Executive Directors (EDs) in developing their management teams, which includes support in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching. You will also collaborate with EDs, Marketing, and Sales teams to build community census, retain existing residents, and promote the communities to the public. Ensuring regulatory compliance across all communities will be a key responsibility, as will maintaining adherence to budgets and communicating strategies to the Divisional Director of Operations. You will coordinate the planning and implementation of the Pre-Opening process for new-build communities, assist in preparing and maintaining the Pre-Opening Checklist, and supervise the completion of pre-opening tasks. Conducting routine Operations Reviews for each assigned community and coordinating support services will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will develop and implement orientation and ongoing training for new hires, focusing on person-directed care and quality assurance in accordance with regulations. As a leader, you will embody key servant leadership principles, including effective listening, empathy, and awareness. You will actively participate in networking and community-based groups relevant to Cedarhurst's business and offer proactive solutions to challenges while adhering to the company's vision and values. Conflict intervention and resolution for customers, families, and employees will also fall under your purview. This role requires availability to travel as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a management-related field or 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Applicable State Licensure/Certification required.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in senior housing operations with proven leadership skills.
  • Experience managing five or more subordinate supervisors overseeing 30-50 employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living care.
