About the position

Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director of Operations to oversee our extended stay hotel operations for over 30 hotel locations across the West Coast and Mid-West, including states such as Arizona, California, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Washington. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of District Manager professionals, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence across all locations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in operations management, strategic planning, and business development, with a proven track record of success in similar roles. As the Regional Director of Operations, you will provide leadership and guidance to district managers and hotel teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. You will develop and implement strategic plans aimed at driving business growth and achieving targets, while also managing and optimizing regional operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Your role will involve leading the development and execution of business development initiatives to expand market presence, overseeing the implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track regional performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration with senior leadership will be essential as you develop and execute regional strategies, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, ownership groups, partners, and regulatory bodies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. This position requires a significant commitment to travel, with expectations of 75% plus overnight travel and the ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Regional Director of Operations or similar position within the extended stay segment.
  • Strong background in operations management, including experience in managing multiple locations or regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving goals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.
  • Experience in business development, including identifying new opportunities and driving revenue growth.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, with the ability to oversee complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Track record of successfully implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Valid Driver's License.
