About the position

The Regional Director of Operations at Sage Hospitality Group is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple properties within a designated region. This role involves collaborating with the Vice President to develop and execute strategies that enhance hotel operations, drive service excellence, and maintain positive relationships with property owners. The position requires strong leadership skills to mentor General Managers and ensure the achievement of strategic goals while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic operational and financial initiatives, ensuring all objectives are met.
  • Oversee communication to customers regarding long-term vision and strategies, ensuring timely and proactive communications to all stakeholders.
  • Assist property leadership in revenue growth, market share performance, and sales initiatives in coordination with the corporate support team.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Operations on strategies to proactively respond to market changes.
  • Maintain effective General Managers and ensure proper staffing of Executive level positions to achieve property goals.
  • Mentor property Executive Committees to develop high-potential leaders within the organization.
  • Work with corporate team members and properties to maximize revenues and profits while ensuring optimal productivity.
  • Support strategies to enhance guest experiences and improve guest survey results.
  • Create a positive culture that elevates associate satisfaction and reduces turnover.
  • Develop and enhance operational SOPs for the Collection, ensuring compliance with brand standards and Sage initiatives.
  • Participate in company and community relations, engaging in corporate activities and meetings.
  • Provide leadership oversight on special projects, transitions, and new property openings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • 5-10 years of General Manager responsibility experience, with field and corporate experience preferred.
  • Experience in multi-unit oversight and Area/Regional GM roles is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of hotel operations, leadership, and corporate environments.
  • Ability to execute corporate, owner, and brand initiatives effectively.
  • Proven ability to build strong teams and develop direct reports.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
