About the position

As the Regional Sales Director for Southern California, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling our premier supplemental software portfolio, which includes products like ALEKS, Redbird Mathematics, Achieve3000, and Actively Learn. This position is designed for a strategic and relationship-driven individual who is passionate about education and eager to make a significant impact in the K-12 digital sales market. You will be responsible for identifying customer leads and creating new business opportunities that drive large-scale sales in the supplemental education sector. Your efforts will not only contribute to the growth of our company but also enhance the educational experiences of students across the region. In this role, you will utilize various market data points to develop a comprehensive territory sales plan. This plan will include strategies for prospecting new opportunities, growing existing relationships, and elevating the McGraw Hill brand in every interaction. You will conduct compelling digital sales presentations of our supplemental software solutions to prospective customers, showcasing the value and effectiveness of our products. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with internal teams, including customer success, implementation, product development, and product marketing, to drive innovation and inform the next iterations of our digital supplemental programs. Your ability to form solid partnerships at all levels of school districts will be crucial in ensuring the execution of profitable, recurring, long-term business relationships. Additionally, you will collaborate with McGraw Hill's Core Curriculum Sales Representatives, District Managers, and the Implementation Group to craft and leverage complex selling strategies that drive innovation across teams. Responsibilities

  • Identify customer leads and create new business to drive large-scale K-12 digital sales in the supplemental education market.
  • Develop a territory sales plan using multiple market data points, including events and strategies to prospect for new opportunities.
  • Conduct strong digital sales presentations of McGraw Hill's supplemental software solutions to prospective customers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including customer success, implementation, product development, and product marketing to drive innovation.
  • Form solid partnerships at all levels of a school district to ensure the execution of profitable, recurring, long-term business relationships.
  • Work with McGraw Hill's Core Curriculum Sales Reps, District Managers, and Implementation Group to craft and leverage complex selling strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel 80-85%.
  • Previous educational sales experience preferred.
  • Experience teaching or selling digital Math and Literacy products/programs is a plus.
  • Track record of sales success as demonstrated by having met or exceeded sales quotas.
  • Strong listening and solution selling skills.
