About the position
The Regional Director - Strategic Growth at Compass plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company by leading a high-performing Strategic Growth Team. This position focuses on attracting top-producing agents to Compass through a consultative approach, diagnosing their business needs, and presenting tailored solutions. The role requires strong leadership, sales expertise, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment to support accelerated growth in the Washington D.C. market.
Responsibilities
- Set local team strategy
- Lead and manage a Strategic Growth team to meet monthly goals including activity metrics, forecasted opportunities, and revenue targets
- Build confidence and trust with direct reports and provide developmental feedback for continuous improvement
- Coach team members to develop their professional sales and other skills
- Collaborate with other sales managers, directors, and executives to aid business growth
- Supervise and conduct training on skills improvement, product, and technology topics
- Maintain headcount via recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new Strategic Growth Managers (SGMs)
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of Compass ecosystem tools, resources, and technology
- Demonstrate Compass core values and leadership traits
- Understand leadership training styles and apply them to interactions with direct reports
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience
- Minimum of 5+ years in sales management
- B.A. or B.S. required, MBA preferred
- Proven experience in a scaling environment
- Ability to adapt to an evangelical sale
- Past experience in managing direct reports and leading teams
- A coachable leader, willing and able to accept feedback
