About the position
The Regional Distribution Center Manager at National Carwash Solutions (NCS) is responsible for overseeing the operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficiency in inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This role involves staffing the location, implementing best practices, and driving improvements in productivity through data-driven decisions. The manager will also maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery of orders and fostering a positive work environment for the team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the physical condition of the distribution facility and establish a 5s program.
- Drive and implement the business plan to achieve facility goals such as production, quality, and safety.
- Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
- Manage inventory to ensure records are maintained and maximum customer service is achieved.
- Administer company policies and coordinate department activities to meet long-range goals.
- Provide coaching and feedback to promote team growth and development.
- Define and communicate performance targets for safety, quality, delivery, costs, and employee engagement.
- Establish an environment conducive to high levels of engagement and morale.
- Review analyses of activities and costs to determine progress toward goals.
- Act as the primary point of resolution for customer issues and internal concerns.
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing and shipping requirements.
- Manage and oversee inventory and delivery operations at multiple facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in distribution, fulfillment, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of business management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of raw material warehousing and distribution.
- Proficiency in WMS system environment required.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer literacy.
- Proven ability to train, organize, lead, and motivate a team.
- P&L experience.
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial thinker with problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills and customer service orientation.
