About the position
The Regional Distribution Center Supervisor at BMW is responsible for setting and executing strategic directions within the assigned department, managing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. This role involves overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, supervising Warehouse Associates, and achieving high standards of quality, productivity, and customer service for BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce retail centers.
Responsibilities
- Set and execute strategic directions for the assigned department.
- Manage process improvement and employee utilization to exceed targets.
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Advise, direct, and adjust the hourly labor force to meet or exceed targets.
- Execute corrective, preventative, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators throughout warehouse operations.
- Provide consistent and accurate data reporting in line with BMW reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
- 1 to 3 years of logistics/distribution experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Direct management/supervision experience.
- OEM distribution experience.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment.
