About the position
The position involves performing daily operational tasks in a warehouse setting for the BMW Group, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and customer service. The role requires compliance with company policies and federal regulations while using powered industrial equipment and handling dangerous goods. The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficiency of the logistics and distribution processes for BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce retail centers.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational tasks assigned by RDC management staff.
- Complete assigned warehouse activities including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, reverse logistics, and inventory control.
- Achieve high standards of quality, productivity, and customer service levels.
- Maintain compliance with BMW core values and guiding principles.
- Use powered industrial equipment to process shipments of federally regulated Dangerous Goods.
- Meet and maintain required performance levels within the assigned area.
- Comply with the BMW Value Added Production System (VPS) and maintain essential supplies in the work area.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Work experience, preferably in logistics/distribution.
- Leadership experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Previous logistics/distribution experience is preferred.
- OEM distribution experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain all Dangerous Goods Certifications is preferred.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System functionality, specifically SAP and BMW WM.
