About the position

The Regional Distribution Sales Manager (RDSM) for GA & FL will play a crucial role in supporting Kamstrup's distribution partners' sales and activities within the assigned territory. This position is focused on driving growth in the North American market by implementing the company's ambitious growth strategy over the next five years. The RDSM will manage local independent distributors, provide training and guidance, and ensure that sales objectives align with the company's business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Manage local independent distributors throughout the territory.
  • Provide training, guidance, and assistance to distributors regarding market strategies and product acceptance.
  • Establish strategic objectives and standards for distributors and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Plan and allocate time and resources to meet sales objectives outlined in the business plan.
  • Interact with internal departments such as Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, and Marketing.
  • Provide technical education regarding division products and coach distributors.
  • Ensure regular training for distributors, both online and onsite.
  • Advise distributors on updates related to sales processes, policies, and software.
  • Collect monthly forecasts from distributors and update them in CRM.
  • Forward RFP details to the Kamstrup bid manager upon release.
  • Prepare and discuss the Business Development Plan with distributors quarterly.
  • Re-evaluate distributors using a scoring guide and discuss findings with the Director Distribution Sales Eastern Region.
  • Report regularly to the Director Distribution Sales Eastern Region.
  • Ensure compliance with the terms of the Distribution Agreement.

Requirements

  • Five plus years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating, and time management.
  • Knowledge of sales principles and methods, including product demonstration and sales techniques.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Substantial industry and product knowledge.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and utilize performance KPIs.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
