About the position

The Regional Doctor Recruiter at National Vision plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company maintains optimal staffing levels for optometrists across their designated region. This position involves a comprehensive approach to recruitment, utilizing various methods to identify and attract qualified candidates. The recruiter will engage in extensive searches for potential optometrists, leveraging computer databases, networking, internet resources, cold calling, social media, online job boards, and employee referrals to find the best talent available. In addition to sourcing candidates, the Regional Doctor Recruiter will maintain regular communication with District Managers, Area Doctors, Regional Vice Presidents, and other senior executives. This communication is vital for discussing filled positions, analyzing hiring trends, and providing insights into future hiring needs. The recruiter will also be responsible for interviewing candidates, assessing their qualifications, and providing them with detailed information about the opportunities available within the National Vision Doctor of Optometry Network, including salary, benefits, and contractual obligations. The role requires participation in various forms of communication, including meetings and conference calls, to ensure that all client groups are aligned and informed. The recruiter will also review and analyze recruitment procedures and reports to evaluate the effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs. Additionally, the recruiter will manage candidate activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and support industry events to promote the company and attract potential candidates. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in full lifecycle recruiting, particularly in the healthcare or retail sectors, and who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing conditions is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using various recruiting resources.
  • Communicate regularly with District Managers, Area Doctors, Regional VPs, and other senior executives regarding filled positions and hiring trends.
  • Interview and assess the qualifications of candidate optometrists, providing information about opportunities within the National Vision Doctor of Optometry Network.
  • Participate in regular communication forms, including meetings and conference calls, to ensure effective communication among client groups.
  • Review and analyze recruitment procedures and reports to ensure the effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs.
  • Participate in various Recruiting and HR project initiatives.
  • Manage current candidate activity and candidate communities in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Attend and support industry events to communicate and market to licensed optometrists and potential future candidates.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years experience in full lifecycle recruiting, including sourcing, qualifying, interviewing, and salary negotiation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities with effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments and set priorities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
  • Knowledge or relationships with retail optometrists and the industry in general are preferred.
  • Ability to travel when required.
