About the position

The Regional Team Member Relations Specialist at Hackensack Meridian Health plays a crucial role in enhancing employee relations and compliance initiatives within the organization. In this capacity, the Regional TM Relations Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert in employee relations for their designated areas. Responsibilities will include conducting thorough investigations, implementing corrective actions, resolving conflicts, and performing climate assessments. The specialist will also monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to established guidelines and procedures. Maintaining accurate documentation and records is essential, as is delivering services in a professional and efficient manner. The role demands a commitment to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and ensuring a positive experience for both team members and clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant Human Resources experience. A significant portion of this experience should be in employee or labor relations, particularly in conducting complex investigations. A solid understanding of US Federal and State Employment laws is critical, as is the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively. The specialist must be an excellent communicator, capable of presenting information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Adaptability, integrity, and a results-driven mindset are essential traits for success in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with designated Human Resources operations partners to oversee key employee relations and compliance initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor providing support and guidance to leaders of all levels.
  • Conduct investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and climate assessments.
  • Monitor compliance programs and ensure adherence to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and records of all activities and services delivered.
  • Provide prompt assistance to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and a positive team member experience.
  • Support the rollout of a proactive team member and labor relations strategy focused on building leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in employee relations or labor relations, including conducting complex investigations.
  • Working knowledge of US Federal and State Employment laws, including Title VII, ADEA, and FLSA.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent analytic skills with the ability to present data to identify trends and offer strategic advice.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to adapt messages for various audiences.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of personal integrity and confidentiality.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
