About the position

The Regional Engineer is a key technical expert for Lane products, responsible for promoting and gaining acceptance of these products within the engineering community and technical agencies. This role involves a mix of remote work and travel across a northeastern territory, providing autonomy and opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing. The position plays a vital role in supporting Lane's marketing efforts and expanding the usage of its drainage products.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers and agencies to expand usage criteria for Lane's drainage products.
• Collaborate with Lane's Sales representatives to enhance their technical knowledge of products and promote successful sales methods.
• Instruct contractors on proper installation methods and corrective measures for faulty installations.
• Identify new business opportunities and applications for Lane's current products.
• Evaluate potential new products for compatibility with existing products and manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead the approval process for Lane's products in project applications and with engineering design firms.
• Participate in planning and presenting at sales meetings.
• Support the development of promotional materials for Lane products and applications.
• Assist in identifying potential new sales representatives and regional engineers.
• Provide technical assistance within the company as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Previous civil engineering and stormwater experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite or related software.
