About the position

The Regional Engineering Manager at Integrated Power Services (IPS) is responsible for leading the engineering department to achieve company objectives in design, product development, and timely delivery. This role involves supervising staff, overseeing key projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the engineering department to meet company objectives.
• Supervise both supervisory and non-supervisory employees, including hiring, training, and performance appraisal.
• Oversee key projects, processes, and performance reports.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs for the engineering department.
• Research, develop, design, and test electrical components and systems to meet client specifications.
• Design electrical equipment and systems for various applications including commercial and military purposes.
• Ensure product quality by designing testing methods in collaboration with Quality Control.
• Interface with clients and vendors as needed and ensure compliance with third-party specifications.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning and networking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
• 5 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience in design and testing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Experience supervising a team and managing projects.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.

Nice-to-haves

• NETA Certification (III or IV) or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is strongly preferred.
