About the position

The Regional Facilities & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance, repairs, space planning, and emergency preparedness programs for facilities within a designated region. This role involves close collaboration with the Regional Office Administrator and serves as the primary contact for property management and daily facility needs. The manager establishes and maintains relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure a positive experience for employees and implements preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead special projects such as space planning changes and support build-out efforts to improve the work environment.
  • Perform daily walkthroughs of assigned regional facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Manage relationships with internal clients by responding to inquiries and requests promptly.
  • Oversee facilities vendors, purchasing, and budget management for supplies and services.
  • Meet with vendors and contractors to discuss services, pricing, and cost reduction alternatives.
  • Act as the day-to-day contact with building property management for scheduled and emergency repairs.
  • Communicate critical facilities information to offices regarding repairs and emergency actions.
  • Manage the Emergency Preparedness Program, including organizing drills and training.
  • Respond to and resolve end-user inquiries regarding day-to-day services.
  • Manage office moves in conjunction with the Regional Office Administrator.
  • Oversee the ticketing process for assigned facilities, including monitoring and reporting on ticket status.
  • Manage the access card system, including assignments and replacements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in facility, property, and space management with increasing responsibilities.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in a facilities or operations position.
  • Strong understanding of building and safety operations.
  • Superior customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
