About the position

As the Western Regional Field Sales Representative at Plastipak Holdings, you will play a crucial role in cultivating new customer accounts while also expanding existing relationships. Your primary focus will be on bringing innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to customers, which will help propel their businesses forward. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting new sales opportunities by conducting thorough due diligence to identify leads. This involves investigating, analyzing, and planning effective strategies to engage potential customers. You will meet with key decision-makers and work diligently to nurture and develop business relationships. As the quarterback of the sales cycle, you will collaborate with internal partners to design and develop tailored packaging solutions that meet customer needs. You will also take the lead on contract negotiations, ensuring that you secure sales effectively. Additionally, you will manage a small book of business, maintaining strong partnerships with your customers. This includes overseeing aspects such as inventory management, accruals, rebates, negotiations, and amortization agreements. Establishing budgets and forecasting growth potential for your territory will also be key responsibilities in this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Packaging Engineering.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing sales experience in the consumer brand industry, ideally in rigid plastics or other packaging.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Prior experience using SAP is a plus.
