About the position

The audio industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, with innovations in podcasting, streaming, smart speakers, and live radio. Cumulus Media, one of the largest and most sophisticated audio companies in the country, is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to join their team. This fully remote position will report to the Regional Finance Director and will play a crucial role in various finance functions, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial statement analysis. The Regional Finance Manager will ensure that certain accrual accounts are accurately recorded at month-end, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. In this role, the Regional Finance Manager will be responsible for preparing annual budgets and bi-weekly forecasts, reviewing financial results, and identifying, researching, and reporting variances. The position also involves calculating monthly regional sales commissions and submitting commission and bonus payments to Corporate Payroll. The manager will monitor aged receivables and unapplied credits, assisting with regional collection efforts, and will be responsible for submitting invoices and recurring payments to Accounts Payable for processing. Additionally, the Regional Finance Manager will support local radio markets and the Radio Station Management team, providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. The role includes monitoring and administering monthly trade accounting functions, assisting with internal and external audit requests, and performing other financial planning and analysis (FP&A) duties as required. Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual budgets and bi-weekly forecasting.
  • Review financial results, identify, research, and report variances.
  • Calculate monthly regional sales commissions and submit commission and bonus payments to Corporate Payroll.
  • Ensure certain accrual accounts are appropriately stated and assist the GL Team with associated balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Monitor aged receivables, unapplied credits, and assist with regional collection efforts.
  • Submit invoices and recurring payments (along with GL coding) to Accounts Payable for payment.
  • Support local radio markets and the Radio Station Management team while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and administer monthly trade accounting functions.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Perform other FP&A duties as required and assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience required.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Process-oriented, with strong analytical skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to operate in fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of business systems such as Microsoft Office, WideOrbit Traffic & Billing System, Workday, Adaptive Planning/Great Plains.
