About the position

The role of the Regional FP&A Analyst is pivotal in identifying opportunities to enhance overall financial performance while ensuring that the strategic objectives of the organization are met. This position involves providing essential decision support for financial management, which encompasses planning, results reporting, and forecasting. The analyst will also support regional sales finance teams by offering assistance in reporting, financial tools, and systems management. A key responsibility includes managing input templates and consolidating regional inputs for review with management, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and actionable. In this role, the analyst will lead by example, placing a strong emphasis on Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and environmental protection as core values. The responsibilities include overseeing the budgeting and forecasting processes, which involve financial modeling and forecasting for various business initiatives. Regular reviews and analytical assessments of business performance against forecasts and plans are crucial, as is providing business and financial analysis on the performance of all business lines. The analyst will recommend new initiatives and propose cost optimization opportunities to support the region's financial goals. Additionally, the analyst will advise on cost reduction opportunities and investigate variances in financial performance. Gathering and analyzing customer, competitor, and market insights from both internal and external sources will be essential to substantiate recommendations, engaging specialist teams when necessary. Understanding the current versus future state of the business and identifying key technical and operational requirements to support strategic objectives will be a significant part of the role. The analyst will also provide a framework for presenting opportunities and decision-making criteria to ensure informed prioritization of business initiatives. Regular communication of business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats will inform strategic planning and decision-making, ensuring that key areas are addressed and proposals are quantified. The analyst will set up and report on promotional activities to support future planning decisions and analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including revenue, cost of sales, and expenses. Collaborating with the business to prepare presentations for the Senior Management Team on business performance and outlook will also be a critical responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and environmental protection.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial modeling and forecasting for business initiatives.
  • Regularly review and create analytical assessments of business performance against forecasts and plans.
  • Provide business and financial analysis on the performance of all business lines and recommend new initiatives or cost optimization opportunities.

  • Lead the gathering and analysis of customer, competitor, and market insights to substantiate recommendations.
  • Understand the current vs future state of the business and identify key requirements needed to support the strategy.
  • Provide a framework for presenting opportunities and decision-making criteria for informed prioritization.
  • Regularly identify and communicate business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to inform strategic planning.
  • Set up and report against promotional activity to support future planning decisions.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including revenue, cost of sales, and expenses.
  • Work with the business to prepare presentations for the Senior Management Team on business performance and outlook.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel; advanced proficiency in Power Query, PowerPivot, Power BI, DAX, and financial modeling.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic planning and/or business management.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with process/SOX control and accounting standardization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Tagetik, CorpTax knowledge; Alteryx experience, SQL, and Python are a plus.
