About the position

The Regional General Manager at Tucson City Golf is responsible for leading the operations of multiple golf courses under the brand, focusing on creating a culture of hospitality, training, and accountability. This role involves overseeing financial performance, ensuring client satisfaction, and managing a team of skilled associates dedicated to providing superior service to members and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and monitors annual budget, revenue goals, and expenses, generating various business volume forecasts.
  • Monitors financial reports and takes corrective action when necessary.
  • Establishes and monitors personnel policies and training programs.
  • Ensures adherence to Human Resources policies and procedures by management staff.
  • Develops and maintains an organizational plan, initiating improvements as necessary.
  • Maintains membership with the PGA and other professional associations.
  • Attends workshops and meetings to stay updated on industry developments.
  • Oversees the care and maintenance of the facility's physical assets.
  • Coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services.
  • Ensures high standards of food and beverage service on property.
  • Implements policies and procedures for multiple departments, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance of associates.
  • Directly manages department members including Head Professionals and Golf Course Superintendents.
  • Collaborates with the 1st Tee of Charlotte, NC to promote youth in golf.
  • Assures effective orientation and training for new associates.
  • Develops ongoing training programs.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Five years of experience in a public club as a GM or Assistant GM, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • PGA membership preferred.
