About the position

The Regional Government Account Executive (GAE) is responsible for growing and retaining existing Government and DIR customers while also prospecting new accounts to generate sales revenue. This role involves managing customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and pursuing additional revenue opportunities. The GAE will have specific quotas related to new revenue production from Government and DIR customers, and will be expected to maintain professional relationships with large customers, conduct account reviews, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth customer transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and retain existing Government and DIR customers.
  • Prospect new accounts and generate new sales revenue.
  • Meet or exceed assigned booked revenue and line quotas.
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to customers.
  • Maintain relationships with large customers and conduct quarterly account review meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues and position additional products within accounts.
  • Collaborate with customers and Segra personnel for smooth installations and transitions to Customer Service.
  • Provide ongoing support to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Enforce and inspect all new account entries in the contact management system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in telecommunications government sales.
  • Proven track record of managing major accounts and year-over-year sales growth.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design plans to align products and services with customer needs.
  • Problem-solving skills to adapt products and services as needed.
  • Understanding of the DIR and Texas government relationship.
