About the position

The Regional Hospice Executive Director is responsible for overseeing multiple hospice programs in the Kansas and Missouri areas. This role involves supporting and mentoring site-level leaders, managing staffing and hiring processes, overseeing budgets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. The Executive Director plays a crucial role in maintaining the fiscal viability of the hospice programs while ensuring quality patient care and staff satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the site-level management of each hospice program.
• Assist in the development of annual branch budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Analyze gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition, and operational costs.
• Ensure continued branch growth and delivery of quality patient care.
• Monitor staff and client satisfaction and maintain the fiscal viability of each agency by tracking KPIs and metrics.

Requirements

• Current hospice or home health leadership experience with exceptional local market knowledge.
• Multi-site hospice or home health leadership experience (2 or more sites).
• Minimum of five (5) years in hospice operations management.
• Minimum of two (2) years of multi-site hospice or home health leadership experience.
• Experience with budgetary responsibilities including budget development and monitoring KPIs/metrics.
• Broad knowledge of federal and state regulations/administration.
• Outstanding leadership and managerial skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Nurse certification is a plus, but flexibility for the right candidate.
