About the position

The Regional Human Resources Manager at Liberty Tire Recycling is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and administration of all HR functions within the assigned region. This role acts as a strategic partner to regional leadership, ensuring effective management of HR activities while adhering to industry regulations and company policies. The position involves providing consultative support on HR-related issues, assessing HR business needs, and aligning HR strategies with business objectives to drive operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR function across a multi-state region.
  • Provide HR advice and consultation to employees and management, including coaching on performance management, conflict resolution, and interpretation of employment policies.
  • Oversee the recording and maintenance of employee information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including unemployment compensation and other employment-related requirements.
  • Coordinate with site operations and corporate/area HR staff on employment activities, including hiring, employee relations, compliance, and terminations.
  • Assist in conducting and resolving investigations related to employee complaints and concerns.
  • Participate in local management staff meetings, providing input and influencing personnel-related decisions.
  • Conduct or assist with HR-related audits for specific locations.
  • Oversee and direct the work of other HR staff or administrative team members as needed.
  • Assist with the transformation of the Human Resources function.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience as a Human Resources Business Partner or Manager, with extensive involvement in all facets of human resources.
  • Proven experience in employee relations.
  • Strong business orientation with a demonstrated ability to effectively support multiple operating locations.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience in handling investigations and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Ability to influence and impact others without formal authority.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
