About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Creative Solutions in Healthcare is responsible for overseeing HR functions across multiple long-term care facilities in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas. This role involves leading and supervising HR staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, and implementing effective HR programs. The position requires travel and emphasizes reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee HR operations across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and guide HR staff, including recruiting, training, and performance management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions on various HR topics for employees and HR staff.
  • Support employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.
  • Maintain HR databases and records for all facilities, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the performance management process, including performance appraisals and employee development plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with HR trends and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address HR-related issues and concerns.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on HR metrics and initiatives for management.
  • Provide information and consultation regarding employment issues, e.g. transfers, promotion/demotion, reduction-in-force, placement, independent contractor status, etc.
  • Oversee employee events to ensure adherence to the Employee Recognition Guidelines.
  • Prepare, maintain, or monitor various personnel and risk management programs/files.
  • Perform a variety of responsible office support work such as composing confidential correspondence and resolutions; preparation of spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Interpret, apply, and explain Company policies, and state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Divisional Director of Human Resources.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience in a Long Term Care setting.
  • Ability to supervise facility DON and Administrators regarding policies, contracts, laws, and agreements.
  • Provide facility personnel with information and written materials such as employment regulations, education, and employee manuals.
  • Train HR Coordinators in company policies and programs.
  • Provide general support to facilities addressing a broad variety of issues, maintaining files, databases, and records of actions or personnel evaluations.
  • Conduct employee orientation programs introducing personnel, employment benefits, and payroll.
  • Provide written references, conveying information through developed written materials such as forms, brochures, procedures, and pamphlets required for documenting activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning personnel actions, legal actions, termination, and organizational plans.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work within deadlines.
  • Ability to comply with the Company's and departmental safety policies and procedures.
