About the position

The Regional Industrial Engineer will be an integral part of a team focused on developing, implementing, sustaining, and driving results from the Labor Management System (LMS) within the Logistics region. This role involves collaboration with site teams to facilitate the effective use of the LMS at their regional Distribution Service Centers (DSCs). As a subject matter expert (SME) on the LMS and engineering practices, the Regional Industrial Engineer will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of the LMS at various sites. Key responsibilities include assisting in the development and growth of the LMS across the division, driving productivity and financial improvements through the LMS, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational enhancements. The engineer will also provide engineering support as necessary, ensuring that the LMS is utilized effectively to meet organizational goals. This position is crucial for fostering a culture of efficiency and innovation within the logistics operations of Sherwin-Williams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and sustain the Labor Management System (LMS) in the Logistics region.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the LMS and engineering practices for regional site teams.
  • Provide support for the operation of the LMS at various Distribution Service Centers (DSCs).
  • Assist in the development and growth of the LMS across the division.
  • Drive results in productivity and financial areas from the LMS.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational enhancements.
  • Provide engineering support as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Labor Management Systems (LMS) or similar operational systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
