About the position
The Regional Industrial Hygienist will be part of the SHE department supporting the North American region within the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. This role focuses on safeguarding the health of employees, contractors, and tollers while ensuring compliance with legal and internal standards related to industrial hygiene. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a drive for performance, along with in-depth knowledge of industrial hygiene legal requirements and international best practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist dsm-firmenich facilities in NA to safeguard the health of their employees, contractors, and tollers
- Comply with legal and internal standards related to industrial hygiene
- Provide high-level expertise in the field of industrial hygiene
- Raise awareness on industrial hygiene by interacting with all levels of the organization within the region
- Continuously develop and maintain the industrial hygiene competence in dsm-firmenich NA to deliver on its SHE and Security values, policies, and improvement targets.
Requirements
- University degree in technical, engineering, SHE, or Security
- Certified industrial hygienist
- At least ~ 5 years of practical experience in industrial hygiene in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
- Good communication and social skills
- Drive for performance
